Its not bass light or anything, just as youd expect FM to be I guessįor sure, it's a must for FM. No idea about reeces on it, I do a lot of House stuff and wanted some DX basses and that square 2 op bass, and solid style basses are as youd expect. It's fast, immediate and the most hands on FM I have ever come across, you can get crazy shit going on really quickly. You can do a lot with it though, the sequencer is only 16 step but there's clever tricks which you can do which really extend those possibilities. Volca FM is 6 op, with 32 algorithms,I haven't had mine long so I can't go into depth on it or anything but with 3 note poly you aren't gonna get advanced pad chords but having said that, I recently read that one of the algo's has ways of setting so as to be able to get 7th chords but I haven't tried it myself yet.

Wouldn't be my bag thinking about an FB01, if you're gonna go 4 op, may as well get a TX81z or a DX11 if you don't mind a keyboard, although some crackheads are starting to ask silly money for them. You can always sell it on if you don't get along with it. Get one, it's a no brainer for that price.
